İHKİB Başkan Adayı Timur Bozdemir'den Sektöre Umut Veren Açıklamalar: 'Gençlerimize Yeni İş Fırsatları Yaratacağız'

Textile and ready-to-wear sector has been experiencing a period of stagnation for a while, but with the IHKIB election process, it is now making way for stronger breakthroughs. Dr. Timur Bozdemir, who announced his candidacy for the presidency of Istanbul Apparel and Clothing Exporters’ Association, displayed a determined stance on behalf of the sector by drawing attention to some manufacturers shifting their investments abroad.

Conducting an active program in the field as part of the election campaign, Dr. Timur Bozdemir, together with Board Member Candidate Nail Balin, meets with sector representatives to discuss the problems and solution proposals. Bozdemir emphasized the need to sustain production in Turkey, stating the following:

“We’re not going anywhere, we’re producing, and we will produce more.”

As the expectations for the new period increase for textile exporters, the statements made before the election create hope in the sector. Referring to the negative perception created by the news of production facilities moving to certain countries, especially Egypt, in recent months, Dr. Timur Bozdemir emphasized the need to strengthen production and employment within the country, saying:

“We’re not going anywhere, we will produce, produce more, we will produce in our country, in our city, and create new job opportunities for our youth.”
